Where must I open a Succession?
Generally a succession must be opened where the deceased was domiciled. What happens if I can't make my own healthcare decisions?
In the case where you become incapacitated, a durable power of attorney for healthcare can be used if drafted prior to becoming incapacitated. This power of attorney allows a trusted family member or friend to make medical care decisions in the event of incapacity.
